This Privacy Policy explains how TruckLog ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. TruckLog is a trucking logistics app that helps drivers and operators track trips, loads, and route history.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

📋 Information We Collect

TruckLog collects only what is needed to provide its core features:

• Trip and load data: Routes, mileage, load details, and timestamps you enter into the app — stored securely to power your logbook.
• Photos and documents: Rate confirmations, receipts, and delivery documents you choose to attach to trips. These are stored only on your device or your account's secure storage.
• Location data: Used only when you actively use the "auto-fill origin" feature. We do not track your location in the background.
• Account information (if signed in): Your name and email address, used solely to save and sync your logbook data.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the app.

📷 Camera & Photo Library

The App requests access to your camera and photo library to let you scan or attach rate confirmations, bills of lading, and receipts to your trip records.

• Photos are used only for the document you choose to attach.
• Images are stored on your device or your account's secure storage — never uploaded to third-party servers or used for any other purpose.
• You can deny camera/photo access at any time in iOS Settings — the app will continue to work without it.

📍 Location

TruckLog requests location access only while the app is open and only when you tap "Use my current location" to auto-fill a trip's origin address.

• We do not track your location in the background.
• Location data is not stored on our servers — it is used only to fill the address field in that moment.
• You can deny location access in iOS Settings at any time and still use all other app features.

🔗 Third-Party Services

The App connects to the following services to deliver its features:

• TruckLog Web Platform (trucklogapp.com): The app loads the TruckLog web service, which stores your logbook data securely. Data is transmitted over HTTPS only.
• Firebase (Google): Used for user authentication and secure data storage. Firebase's privacy policy is at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or data broker services.

🔒 Data Security

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Stored data is protected using industry-standard encryption provided by Firebase/Google Cloud. We do not store payment information — any billing is handled by Apple's App Store.

🌍 Data Retention

Your logbook data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

⚖️ Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all data
• Export your trip and load history

👶 Children's Privacy

TruckLog is intended for professional use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will promptly delete the information.
